The story of the yeast

On Monday, we learned about the story of the yeast from Matthew 13:33:

“The kingdom of heaven is like this. A woman takes some yeast and mixes it with forty litres of flour until the whole batch of dough rises.”

Mrs Chadwick took this opportunity to sneak in a little science experiment, challenging the yeast to a race! We discovered that the yeast mixed with sugar rose faster than the yeast in the other beaker.

The message was simple but powerful: a little bit of yeast can go a long way. In the same way, one small act of kindness can have a big impact and make someone’s day.

We hope the children remember that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference. ❤️
