Ancient Greek Day

In Year 3 and 4 out LMTW topic has been Athens Vs Sparta. To help us with our learning about this topic, we held an Ancient Greek Day. Some children dressed up as thier favourite Greek God and then we had a special visit from Penelope.Penelope told us that her mother was from Athens and her father was from Sparta and she didn't know which state to settle in, she needed our help to deicde. So we learnt all about Athens in Ancient Greece and then Sparta. We then deomocratically voted that Athens was the best place for her to live after learning all about the two states. In the afternoon we sampled some tasty Greek food and described how it looked and tasted. We had a fabulous day and would like to thank everyone who contributed to our speical day.
